Although still bottom of the Western Conference, Colorado Rapids are enjoying something of a turnaround at the moment with three wins and a draw from their last four MLS matches. Minnesota have lost five of their last six away from home so the Rapids could continue to pick up points.
Although Philadelphia Union, top of the Eastern Conference, have lost just once in their last nine MLS games, they will be fully aware of the excellent form that New York Red Bulls have been in lately. Between two top sides, we should expect to see goals at both ends in this one.
SJ Earthquakes will seek to move into the playoff positions in the Western Conference here and they should feel confident of doing so given the blistering form of Wondolowski. The American striker is riding a hot streak at the moment and he could be the difference maker once more.
Sporting KC have won just one of their last 10 MLS games while Toronto have hardly fared much better recently having not won in their last six contests in the league. With neither side inspiring much confidence at the moment, a share of the spoils appears to be the most likely outcome.
New York City are unbeaten in their last nine games now, and although five of those have been draws, they should have far too much quality for a Cincinnati side who are rock bottom of the Eastern Conference. The home side will look to wrap this up early.
It is difficult to have confidence in either team in this one given that Seattle Sounders have failed to win any of their last six away games in the league and Montreal Impact have won just one of their last four at home. Therefore, a draw looks like the most likely outcome here.
After a torrid run of four straight MLS defeats to fall behind their city rivals at the top of the Western Conference, LA Galaxy have ground out two straight wins to nil and that could be the case again here, especially considering New England have failed to win any of their last 11 MLS away games.
Portland Timbers finally return home to their renovated stadium and motivation will be high to put on a sparkling performance for the fans. Top-of-the-table Los Angeles will have their own ideas though so this should be an entertaining game with goals at both ends of the pitch.
Minnesota United's home games have been short on goalmouth action lately, with their last five MLS encounters at Allianz Field featuring under 2.5 goals. They will want to keep things tight against this dangerous Philadelphia Union outfit so goals are likely to be at a premium again.
Houston Dynamo are unbeaten at home in the MLS this season and they will relish the prospect of facing injury-plagued Sporting KC. The visitors have failed to win any of their last seven away trips in the league so the form book strongly points to a home victory in this one.
DC United are struggling to find a win at the moment despite flying high at the top of the Eastern Conference. They have drawn three of their last four matches, and with San Jose Earthquakes on a good run of form at the moment, another stalemate could be on the cards here.
Seattle have really struggled on the road recently and they will be desperate for a result here given that this will be their last game before a raft of their players depart for international duty. Dallas are struggling badly at the moment so the Sounders are fancied to pick up a result.
These two sides are bottom of their respective conferences so they will look at this as an excellent opportunity to pick up some much-needed points. Leaky defences categorise both teams so whatever the result, there are likely to be over 2.5 goals here.
Real Salt Lake saw their winning run come to an end last time out and they are now up against an in-form NYRB team who have only failed to score at home in the MLS once this season. They have a tendency to punish teams in the second half though, so RSL may hold out until at least half-time.
