  • New Hyderabad head coach Albert Roca was unable to halt his side's losing run as it became four consecutive defeats in his first game in charge despite getting off to a dream start in their match with Odisha.
  • Hyderabad went ahead inside the opening minutes through Marcelinho but they were soon pegged back before things took a turn for the worse with Bobo having his penalty saved and Dimple Bhagat receiving a second yellow for fouling inside the box.
  • The resulting penalty was converted to give Odisha the lead before the break and although the 10 men pushed for an equaliser, it was not to be and Hyderabad are set to be without Rohit Kumar for this game after he was taken off midway through the first half because of injury.

  • Mumbai City responded in exactly the way they needed to after back-to-back defeats as they were comfortable winners over Bengaluru with that vital victory keeping them right in the mix for a play-off spot.
  • Having failed to score in either of their previous two contests, it was important for Mumbai to start well and they did just that as they took a 13th-minute lead thanks to Modou Sougou’s strike.
  • Mohamed Amine Chermiti doubled Mumbai’s lead after the break with them holding firm to claim a clean sheet and all three points to move on to 19 points for the campaign and they could opt to stick with the same starting XI as they attempt to make it consecutive wins.

Hyderabad were unable to shake their losing streak despite having a new man in charge but will hope for more from this game. Albert Roca’s first game could not have started much better but his dream opening became a nightmare by half-time and highlighted the task he has on his hands. With more time on the training pitch with his new side, Hyderabad may improve but they face a tricky test against play-off chasing Mumbai in this one and it is likely to be another defeat for the hosts.
