THE PREDICTION

Crystal Palace ensured that they will be playing Premier League football next season with a comfortable 0-2 victory over Sheffield Utd this past weekend, which took them 14 points clear of the drop zone with only four games left to play. Here they travel to a Southampton side who were beaten 2-0 away at Liverpool last time out as their lack of cutting edge in front of goal without striker Danny Ings available was evident. Should Ings miss out again in this one, it may lead to another frustrating night for the Saints. Either way, a low scoring affair has become the norm between these two sides with under 2.5 goals scored in each of their last five Premier League fixtures against each other. With the same outcome having now occurred in successive league matches featuring either one of these two teams, it would be a surprise if we did not see under 2.5 goals scored over the course of 90 minutes here, regardless of who comes out on top.
