THE TEAM NEWS

EVERTON

  • Everton now sit in the bottom three after a third consecutive loss with the latest being a comprehensive beating by local rivals Liverpool
  • After their woeful defending in the midweek loss, they may switch to a flat back four here with Holgate at right-back unless Coleman is fit.
  • They could make a series of changes to freshen the side up and it would be no surprise if Schneiderlin, Walcott, Bernard and Kean come in.

Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Holgate, Mina, Keane, Digne; Schneiderlin, Davies; Walcott, Bernard, Richarlison; Kean

Unavailable: Gbamin (Injured), Andre Gomes (Injured), Delph (Injured), Coleman (Injured)

Doubtful: Mina (Injured), Banangime (Injured)

CHELSEA

  • Chelsea got back to winning ways in midweek as they edged past Aston Villa 2-1 thanks to goals from the fit-again Abraham and Mount.
  • Their performance was not quite as free-flowing as some of their football has been this season and Lampard will be looking for improvements.
  • Jorginho could come back in to strengthen the midfield while the likes of Tomori, Zouma and possibly Hudson-Odoi could come into the side.

Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho; Willian, Mount, Pulisic; Abraham

Unavailable: Van Ginkel (Injured), Loftus-Cheek (Injured), Rudiger (Injured)

Doubtful: Barkley (Injured), Willian (Injured), Abraham (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Everton are completely bereft of confidence right now and as they come into this weekend sat in the bottom three, which will only heighten the pressure. Chelsea are not quite at their best right now, but they have a big enough squad to freshen the team up and they can take at least a point.
