THE PREDICTION

Both of these teams are coming off poor defeats and will be looking to get back on track for their respective targets. Chelsea were woeful defensively against West Ham and Frank Lampard is expected to make numerous changes for this match. With Man Utd and Wolves both winning their last matches, the gap has closed to just two points so Chelsea know they have to get back to winning ways quickly. Watford hover just above the drop zone but that is more down to the fact the teams below them cannot find a win. The pressure is firmly on them and Nigel Pearson’s men will be aiming for a clean sheet while looking to hit Chelsea on the counter. They can cause a few problems with that approach but defensive solidity will be key and it seems unlikely they can hold Chelsea for ninety minutes. It may take Lampard’s men time to break them down but they should manage to do it eventually to take the points.
