Here’s a list of new sites for this year, offering top-notch online casino games.
While the Belarusian Premier League may be considered one of the least glamorous European competitions, times are changing for the league. It is drawing a great multitude of new fans as well as fresh broadcast deals. Here are some of the major clubs competing in the ‘Vysheyshaya Liga’.
BATE is the only club in the league to have qualified to the UEFA Champions League group stage. They achieved this feat last year as they were paired with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund. A near impossible group to qualify from, but the home atmosphere as well as dogged defending helped them put in some impressive performances. You can now watch them live in action online by following their fixture list. BATE are one of only two teams who have made it to the UEFA Europa League group stage, the other being Dinamo Minsk. They are the most successful side in the League and have won the league a record 15 times.
Dinamo Minsk are the second most successful side in the competition’s history, having seven titles to their name. They are based in the capital city of Minsk and have won the Belarusian Cup three times. Dinamo Minsk play their home games in the Traktor Stadium which has a capacity of 16,500 fans. The club was founded in 1927 and were promoted to the Soviet Top League in 1940. They were the first team that won the Belarusian Premier League, back in 1992. Their most notable performance in Europe would have to be their victory over Fiorentina back in 2014 in the Europa League.
2019 was a historic year for Dinamo Brest as they won their first ever Belarusian Premier League title. They are one of the most promising sides in the league and have also won the Belarusian Cup on three occasions. The last couple of years have seen Dinamo Brest present themselves as one of the front-runners of Belarusian football, a period which saw them win two trophies. Under manager Sergey Kovalchuk, the team has put in some stellar performances and look set to improve further in the coming years.
