Two of the most reliable FPL forward assets outside of the supposed 'big six' come under the microscope here. Raul Jimenez (£8.5m) netted a goal and 9 FPL points in Wolves' 1-1 draw against Newcastle in Gameweek 6. Danny Ings (£8.5m) meanwhile, laid on two assists for his side and picked up 10 FPL points as Southampton beat league leaders Everton 2-0. Both forwards have four league goals to their name so far in this campaign.
Wolves host Crystal Palace in Gameweek 7 and Southampton travel to the West Midlands to face Aston Villa. Palace have proven to be one of the only opponents that Jimenez has struggled against since joining Wolves, with the Mexican striker having not scored against the Eagles in four appearances. Ings however, enjoys playing at Aston Villa having scored twice at Villa Park for Southampton in the Premier League last season. Taking that into account along with their identical FPL prices, we're plumping for Ings in this head-to-head.
Verdict: Danny Ings
