FPL Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Jack Grealish vs Adama Traore
When Jack Grealish (£6.7m) fails to provide a goal or assist for Aston Villa in a league match, it often leads to a defeat. That was the case in Gameweek 25 when Villa lost 2-1 to ten-man Bournemouth, with Grealish being denied influence by the combination of a solid Cherries defence, and the legs of goalkeeper Ramsdale. Adama Traore (£5.8m) also had a rough time of it last weekend against Man Utd. The flying winger got little change out of Luke Shaw at left-back and suffered a dislocated shoulder following an incident with Harry Maguire in the first half. He managed to carry on into the second half but was eventually brought off on 75 minutes with the match finishing 0-0.
Aston Villa desperately need a win at home to Spurs in Gameweek 26 as they continue their quest for Premier League survival. Grealish will be under pressure to perform having scored twice in their last five league fixtures. Traore's Wolves host Leicester at Molineux, but question marks over his fitness lead us to automatically select Grealish here, despite the winter break coming at a good time for Traore to rest and recover.
Verdict: Jack Grealish
