Two Man City central defenders who have played a key role in the defensive stability of the current Premier League leaders this season. Ruben Dias (£6.1m) returned to the Man City starting line-up in their second fixture of Gameweek 24 after recovering from illness, whilst John Stones (£5.2m) was afforded a rest after playing in the first game against Spurs. The two are expected to line up together as central defensive partners once again in Gameweek 25.
Pep Guardiola's side travel to Arsenal, whom they successfully kept a clean sheet against in the reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium, which saw Man City win 1-0. Both Dias and Stones provide a goal threat from set pieces as well as clean sheet potential. With both also expected to start, it leaves us to assess the two via their respective price-tags. Stones at £0.9m cheaper than Dias allows us to spread our money out on other areas of our team and therefore, the England international wins out for us over Dias.
Verdict: John Stones
