Raul Jimenez (£7.5m) got the better of Danny Ings (£6.9m) as the pair went head-to-head in Gameweek 23 as the former bagged two goals to help his Wolves side produce a superb second half comeback against Southampton. Ings failed to get himself on the scoresheet on that game despite Saints scoring two and that was his first game in four without a goal.
Jimenez had failed to score more than two points in his previous three contests, albeit one of those was just a cameo from the bench. With a 13-point haul for the Wolves striker, he posted his best performance in FPL this season with his three bonus points helping him surpass his previous best of 11 in Gameweek 19 against Man City. Ings arguably has a more appealing fixture with Southampton heading to Crystal Palace but Wolves have scored in every home Premier League match so far this season and although league leaders Liverpool are the visitors, if Wolves are to continue that run then Jimenez shapes as the man most likely to be responsible for that.
Verdict: Raul Jimenez
