FPL Gameweek 24 – head-to-head comparisons – Abdoulaye Doucoure vs Leandro Trossard
Despite failing to find the net against Spurs in Gameweek 23, positives could once again be taken by the performance of Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.6m). Playing further forward under Nigel Pearson, he was constantly getting into advanced positions as he looked to add to his two goals and two assists that he has racked up since Gameweek 20. Brighton midfielder Leandro Trossard (£5.8m), meanwhile, scored his third league goal of the season for the Seagulls at the weekend, opening the scoring in Albion's 1-1 draw at home to relegation-threatened Aston Villa.
Both Watford and Brighton find themselves on the road in Gameweek 24. The Hornets take their turn to meet Aston Villa, whilst Brighton make the relatively short trip to Bournemouth. Whilst Bournemouth having lost their last four games on the bounce may benefit Trossard, it's impossible to look beyond Doucoure at £0.2m cheaper, with 31 FPL points from his last four fixtures against a side who conceded six goals in their last league match at Villa Park.
Verdict: Abdoulaye Doucoure
