FPL Gameweek 23 – head-to-head comparisons: John Fleck vs Callum Hudson-Odoi
Another home match at Bramall Lane brought another profitable FPL return for Sheffield Utd midfielder John Fleck (£4.9m) after laying off the ball for striker Oli McBurnie to tap home the only goal in the Blades' 1-0 win over West Ham. The Scot has now accumulated 26 FPL points from his last three home matches with two goals and an assist.
Whilst not always starting for Chelsea, Callum Hudson Odoi (£5.3m) has looked dangerous when given the opportunity and after being afforded a start in Gameweek 22, got himself a goal against Burnley. He'll be hoping that the goal is enough for manager Frank Lampard to start him again in Gameweek 23 when the Blues travel to the North East to face Newcastle.
It will be difficult for Fleck to secure a high points return in Gameweek 23 with the Blades facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. However, with Hudson Odoi a rotation risk and Fleck certain to start against an Arsenal defence still showing cracks despite the arrival of new manager Mikel Arteta, he still appears the best option of the two.
Verdict: John Fleck
