In the running battle between the two free scoring Liverpool midfielders, it was Sadio Mane (£12.3m) who got the better of Mo Salah (£12.3m) in Gameweek 20. Mane scored the only goal of the game in the Reds' 1-0 win over Wolves, earning a total of 11 FPL points whilst Salah despite a couple of decent chances, failed to find the net and could only bring home 3 FPL points for his owners.
Gameweek 21 sees Liverpool at home once again, this time against Sheffield Utd whom the Reds defeated 0-1 in the reverse fixture at Bramall Lane back in Gameweek 7. Both Mane and Salah played the full match against Wolves, making it difficult to judge if either will be rested. With both at the same price of £12.3m, it feels like tossing a coin when choosing between the two. Mane is seemingly the form option with a goal and assist in his last two matches, whilst Salah has failed to register an attacking return in the same period. So we'd just give the edge to the Senegalese star.
Verdict: Sadio Mane
