FPL Gameweek 18 – head-to-head comparisons: Raheem Sterling vs Heung-Min Son
An assist against Chelsea in Gameweek 17 means that Man City midfielder Raheem Sterling (£11.4m) has now registered an attacking return in his last four Premier League matches. He's also accumulated 26 FPL points within that time period, with 76 points acquired over the course of the season so far. Heung-Min Son (£9.8m) in comparison has been on a different level for Spurs, with 12 goals, 5 assists and a whopping 132 FPL points to his name, the highest score in FPL this season after 17 gameweeks.
Gameweek 18 sees Man City host struggling Brighton, whilst Spurs travel to Aston Villa. Son has fond memories of this fixture from last season, which saw him score twice including a last minute winner in a 2-3 win for Jose Mourinho's side. However, with that fixture now in doubt due to an outbreak of Covid-19 within the Aston Villa camp, Sterling has to be considered the sensible option here as a result. The England international has proven himself as a consistent performer, let's hope this is the gameweek that he nets a really big FPL points haul!
Verdict: Raheem Sterling
