FPL Gameweek 18 – head-to-head comparisons: Jack Grealish vs Adama Traore
Gameweek 17 turned out to be one to forget for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish (£6.1m). The midfielder saw his side go down 2-0 away at Sheffield Utd and to make matters worse, Grealish missed a penalty which would have reduced the arrears and given his team hope deep into the second half.
Adama Traore (£5.2m) was also on the losing team in Gameweek 17, as Wolves saw their 11 match unbeaten run ended by Spurs in a 1-2 defeat at Molineux. Traore, however, was a threat throughout and his bullet strike from the edge of the box drew the game level before the away side's late winner.
Grealish returns home in Gameweek 18 as Aston Villa host a Southampton side who haven't kept a clean sheet since Gameweek 5. Traore's Wolves travel to Norwich and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back following a rare defeat. Both players are enticing options, but we are inclined to favour Grealish, who has two goals and two assists in his last three appearances at Villa Park. With the Villains looking to him to provide the goods in what is a crucial fixtures at the wrong end of the table, we see him as a marginally better option than the Wolves winger.
Verdict: Jack Grealish
