FPL Gameweek 13 – head-to-head comparisons: Kevin De Bruyne vs Heung-Min Son
Kevin De Bruyne (£10.2m) suffered frustration in Gameweek 12, as despite creating a number of big chances, his Man City teammates failed to capitalise and they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Liverpool, with De Bruyne returning only 2 FPL points. It was similarly frustrating for Heung-Min Son (£9.6m) from his team's perspective after their 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield Utd. However, the South Korean got himself on the scoresheet to please his FPL owners by earning them 8 points.
Gameweek 13 sees De Bruyne face Chelsea at home, the Belgian having returned 49 points from the five Premier League games he has started at the Etihad Stadium this season. Son, meanwhile, faces a struggling West Ham away from home. Whilst the stats point to De Bruyne, Son's £0.6m cheaper price, along with him facing a Hammers side who have shipped six goals in their last two league, leads us to give him the edge.
Verdict: Heung-Min Son
