FPL Gameweek 11 – head-to-head comparisons: Kevin De Bruyne vs Sadio Mane

Gameweek 10 saw Kevin De Bruyne (£10.2m) initially awarded with a goal against Aston Villa before the dubious goals panel saw fit to reduce it to an assist, but it was still yet another return from the mercurial Belgian, who now sits on 10 assists for the season. Meanwhile, Sadio Mane (£11.9m) was good for 5 FPL points after winning the penalty that Mo Salah dispatched against Spurs.

Gameweek 11 sees Liverpool travel to Villa Park, and while this can potentially be seen as a favourable fixture, it is not as enticing from an FPL point of view as that which faces Man City, who host a Southampton side coming off a joint-record defeat in the Premier League. Such a leaky defence should offer De Bruyne plenty of opportunity for points, so he shades this head-to-head between two premium midfield assets.
