FPL Gameweek 10 – head-to-head comparisons: Patrick Bamford vs Ollie Watkins
He hit the post late on in Gameweek 9, but ultimately Patrick Bamford (£6.1m) could not add to his seven goals already scored in the Premier League this season, as Leeds drew 0-0 with ten man Arsenal. Ollie Watkins (£6.1m) couldn't find the net either in a match Aston Villa will want to forget in a hurry. Dean Smith's side went down 1-2 at home to Brighton.
Both forwards will be hoping to bounce back in Gameweek 10 as Leeds face Everton at Goodison Park and Aston Villa are away to West Ham. Both fixtures look imposing on paper, but Everton have proved themselves as fragile defensively having conceded two goals or more in each of their last six league matches. Combine that with the relentless attacking nature of Marcelo Bielsa side and Bamford looks a more attractive proposition that Watkins here, who faces a Hammers outfit who have conceded two goals or more in a single fixture just once out of their last four Premier League games.
Verdict: Patrick Bamford
