Last weekend saw Liverpool keeper Alisson (£5.8m) make his return to Premier League action for the first time since the opening night of the season. He failed to keep a clean sheet after a controversial Marcus Rashford goal saw Man Utd open the scoring against Liverpool at Old Trafford. United keeper David de Gea (£5.5m) also failed to keep a clean sheet in the game as a late goal from Adam Lallana made it four games without a shutout for the Spaniard. Gameweek 10 sees two Sunday fixtures for both keepers with De Gea’s Man Utd travelling to Norwich and Alisson’s Liverpool hosting a Spurs side coming off the back of scoring five goals in their midweek Champions League match. Norwich have struggled of late, scoring only one goal in their last four matches as they continue to be dogged by injuries. This, along with De Gea’s cheaper price tag makes him a better option than Alisson here despite Man Utd’s obvious deficiencies.
Verdict: David de Gea
