  • Glamorgan play their penultimate match in this season’s T20 Blast and they remain the only team yet to win a single match in the entire tournament so with just two chances left, they will be desperate to grab a victory especially in front of their home fans on Bank Holiday Monday.
  • Their latest defeat came on Saturday evening in front of the television cameras against Somerset as they struggled to compete once again and coach Matthew Maynard is going to have to motivate his men to raise themselves here.
  • Overseas star Shaun Marsh could only manage two runs with the bat on Saturday after a duck in his previous T20 match as their big names continue to struggle although some of the youngsters that have come into the side like batsman Nicholas Selman and bowler Roman Walker have shown enough potential to keep their places in the side here.

  • Sussex Sharks secured their place in the knockout round with their emphatic win over Middlesex on Saturday but they will now turn their attentions to winning this game and grabbing a home quarter-final match with victory or a tie here.
  • Their squad for this match has been boosted by the return of Delray Rawlins who has come back from international duty with Bermuda so he gives the coaches another talented option to choose from here.
  • The quality of their batting was clear to see once again in the Middlesex game with Salt, Evans, Wright and Carey all contributing and they will be extremely confident of continuing that form against the weakest team in the tournament.

Glamorgan have endured a miserable 2019 T20 Blast campaign this season but they will be desperate to get their first win in one of their final two games. They face an in-form Sussex Sharks side however who need a win or tie to secure a home quarter-final match and that does not bode well for the hosts. The Sharks’ batting is formidable and they should simply have too much firepower for this poor Glamorgan outfit.
