BANGLA TIGERS
- Bangla Tigers lost their opening match on Saturday against Deccan Gladiators as their total of 108/5 batting first proved a little short although their bowlers did a fair job in making the game competitive to take it to the penultimate ball of the match.
- The batting department will feel like they could have scored more in that game and they are certainly capable of doing so with Rilee Rossouw and Colin Ingram looking in good form in their opening match, and Andre Fletcher, Thisara Perera and Tom Moores will look to make greater contributions here.
- James Faulkner did not play in their opening match so it remains to be seen if he is available for this match but they may well decide to go with the same set of players after a solid performance in the opening game.
KARNATAKA TUSKERS
- Karnataka Tuskers got their Abu Dhabi T10 League off to a winning start on Saturday as Hashim Amla led his team to a 19-run victory as after posting a total of 110/5 batting first, they then restricted the strong Delhi Bulls batting line-up to 91/8.
- Upul Tharanga and Shafiqullah were the two batsmen that produced the goods in the opening match but they will need more from Amla and Charles at the top of the order as their batting depth is arguably the weakest in the tournament.
- Their investment in signing specialist T20 bowlers paid off in the opening game with Rimmington, Brown and Lamichhane proving far too good for the Bulls’ strong batting line-up and they will hope for more of the same here.
THE PREDICTION
A fascinating match lies in store here as the strong Bangla Tigers batting line-up comes up against one of the more talented bowling units in the tournament. The Tigers are one of the two teams remaining that have yet to win a match so far so they are under some pressure here to get the win. If one or two of their batsmen catch fire, they can take this game away from the Tuskers, but the strong bowling and solid batting of the Karnataka outfit may just edge this one.
