THE PREDICTION
Bengal have made a strong start to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with two wins from two thanks to a solid victory over Jharkhand last time out. They were not as impressive as their opening success against Odisha but were still comfortable largely thanks to Vivek Singh. Having notched an unbeaten 54* against Odisha, he produced a sensational knock to secure his century as he finished unbeaten on exactly 100 from just 64 deliveries. The bowling unit then did their job to keep Jharkhand at bay and they will be confident of extending their winning start as they take on Hyderabad. They edged Odisha with a solid all-round effort in their second contest of the competition but they are unlikely to have enough with the ball to punish Bengal who should be able to make it three straight wins.
