THE PREDICTION

The first semi-final in the Caribbean Premier League sees the unbeaten Trinbago Knight Riders face off against Jamaican Tallawahs and if form is anything to go by, it is hard to see anything other than a TKR victory. They were outstanding in the group phase winning all ten of their matches and even when they rotated in the final games, they still kept performance levels high and all their players are contributing in some form. They have an injury concern over Kiwi Colin Munro but Sunil Narine is fit to play and they will still be strong even if Munro does not make it. The Tallawahs have a talented team on paper but they have not managed to find any form or consistency in their play winning just three of their ten group stage matches. Too many of their batsmen like Chadwick Walton, Rovman Powell and Asif Ali have not found any form with the bat while the bowling relies too heavily on star spin duo Lamichhane and Mujeeb. Unless Andre Russell and the spinners produce some magic, the more reliable and consistent Knight Riders simply have to be favoured.
