THE LOWDOWN

DANIEL DUBOIS

  • Dubois is coming off his 13th win and 12th knockout finishing Ebenezer Tetteh in the first round at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
  • In defeating the Ghanaian, Dubois earned the vacant Commonwealth and WBO International titles and they will be on the line against Fujimoto along with the vacant WBC Silver heavyweight title.
  • Dubois walks out in London for the 11th time protecting his unbeaten record and looks to leverage his colossal knockout power to continue blazing a new trail in the heavyweight division.

KYOTARO FUJIMOTO

  • After suffering the first loss of his boxing career back in 2012, Fujimoto has strung 16 wins together to grow an impressive record and is coming off two finishes over Suthat Kalalek.
  • Fujimoto is a vastly experienced martial artist who has amassed an impressive boxing record after a successful kickboxing career. He held a record of 18-5 and shared the ring with some of the greats of the sport including Tyrone Spong and Gegard Mousasi and even has wins over Melvin Manhoef and Gokan Saki.
  • Fujimoto makes his first appearance in London and this is his first boxing contest outside of Japan. He has a wealth of combat experience and also possesses legitimate knockout power.

THE PREDICTION

Fujimoto has a good record but all of his fights have been in Japan against unproven fighters. Dubois looks like the real deal coming off two knockouts over unbeaten fighters and when his power connects with the battle-tested chin of Fujimoto, it will only be a matter of time before he falls.

Winner: Dubois via KO/TKO
