How do the National League play-offs work?
The 2017-18 season sees the Vanarama National League adopt a revamped play-off system to decide who will be promoted to EFL League Two. As champions, Macclesfield Town have already secured their passage to league football via the automatic promotion berth, so a further six teams (those who finished 2nd - 7th) will now compete for the final spot via the play-offs.

Boreham, Aldershot, Ebbsfleet and Fylde will contest an elimination round to decide who will join Tranmere and Sutton in the play-off semi-finals.

2nd May: Aldershot Town vs Ebbsfleet United (19:00)
3rd May: Boreham Wood vs Fylde (19:00)

5th May: Tranmere Rovers vs Aldershot Town or Ebbsfleet United (12:15)
6th May: Sutton United vs Boreham Wood or Fylde (15:00)

Both Tranmere Rovers and Aldershot Town reached the National League play-offs last season but failed to progress to EFL League Two.
