US Open 2017 - Sam Querrey vs Kevin Anderson Preview

The late-night match at the US Open, scheduled for 1:30am (UK time), is the clash of two big servers of a similar level, in Sam Querrey and Kevin Anderson.

These two met in the last 16 at Wimbledon recently, with Querrey prevailing in five sets, but Anderson gained revenge in Montreal last month with an easy straight-sets victory.

Both players have service points won statistics in excess of the 63.5% ATP hard court mean for this year, and this strong-serving is also evident in very low break lead loss percentages - in short, both men should be much stronger than average at retaining break leads in sets.

Querrey in particular has been deficient at recovering break deficits this year, so it is likely that this will be a tight match with few breaks of serve throughout.
