Coach: Mickey Arthur

Captain: Imad Wasim

  • The Kings have the benefit of home support as the remainder of the tournament will be played in their home city so that will give them added motivation to get a much-needed win to boost their play-off hopes.

  • Their bowling attack in recent matches has been key to winning their last two games as they have restricted their opponents to below par scores and their batsmen have largely chased the totals down with relative ease.

  • Following the Qalandars’ defeat on Saturday, the Kings know that a victory in either of their remaining two matches will suffice to qualify for the final four but they will be keen to seal that spot as soon as possible.

Coach: Moin Khan

Captain: Sarfraz Ahmed

  • Quetta Gladiators come into this final group stage match needing a win to seal top spot and they will be keen to do so to stamp their authority on the tournament ahead of the knockout stage.

  • Their batting has arguably been the best in the tournament so far and they will relish conditions in Karachi having seen how batting-friendly the pitch was on Saturday in the run fest between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.

  • The team have been boosted by the news that Shane Watson has agreed to come to Pakistan after initial reports prior to the tournament suggesting that he would not play in the Pakistan leg of the tournament but the key veteran has travelled which is a major boost to their chances.

All the motivation and urgency coming into this game is with the Karachi Kings against the Quetta Gladiators who have already qualified for the knockout phase. The Kings will have support on their side in Karachi too but it will be interesting to see how they play with the pressure in this game. Both teams will want to chase so winning the toss will be key to the outcome of this match. The Kings may be favoured from a motivation perspective, but the Gladiators have the edge in form and quality.
