This meeting at the Bet365 Stadium sees Javi Gracia given his first test in the Premier League as Watford manager. The Hornets may lie tenth in the table but there is only four points separating them and the bottom three going into this set of fixtures and they cannot afford their form to stutter any further. Stoke are also getting used to life with new managerial personnel with Paul Lambert, and he got off to the perfect start with a win over Huddersfield and will now look to add more points on the board. It will be interesting to see what Gracia can do with this Watford team and he may not be disappointed if he takes a point back to Vicarage Road.
Watford’s only win over Stoke in the Premier League was back in October 2015 at what was then called the Britannia Stadium. Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi scored either side of the break to give the Hornets all three points.
