United are struggling right now but if there is one team in the Premier League that they would want to face it would be this toothless Southampton team. They surrendered easily at Wembley against Spurs, and expect a reaction from United who should bounce back with a big win here.

The 1999-2000 season would see Southampton travel to Old Trafford and return with a well-earned point for the efforts. It was however a day to forget for Manchester United goalkeeper Massimo Taibi who let a tame shot from Matt Le Tissier trickle through his legs and into the goal. This was the beginning of the end for Taibi’s stint with the then recent treble winners.
