Manchester United were soundly beaten by Tottenham at Wembley in midweek in what was a forgettable first league outing for Alexis Sanchez in his new club colours. Jose Mourinho was not best pleased with what saw in London on Wednesday as the gap between second and the other clubs chasing a Champions League spot has now tightened. Saturday sees them play host to a Huddersfield side who have not won any of their last seven league outings while also losing their last four. This set of results has seen them slide down the table and defeat at Old Trafford could well see them end the weekend in the bottom three.

Huddersfield and Manchester United have only met once before in the Premier League and it would turn out to be a historic win for David Wagner’s men. October 2017 saw the two sides face off at the John Smith’s Stadium with Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre were the heroes as they scored the goals that earn the Yorkshire outfit all three points over Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils.
