Liverpool have not lost any of their last five head-to-head matches with Manchester City.

They have only conceded three goals to Manchester City during that same run of games.

Manchester City have not recorded a Premier League win over Liverpool since August 2014, when they ran out 3-1 winners at the Etihad. They have however beaten them on penalties since then (2016 League Cup final).

Pep Guardiola is yet to get the better of Jurgen Klopp since arriving in the Premier League last season.

Both teams are unbeaten this season, although Liverpool are yet to pick up their first away win of the campaign.

In the Premier League era, these two sides have met 40 times. Manchester City have only won seven of them with Liverpool taking the spoils on 18 separate occasions. There have also been 15 draws.

Liverpool beat Manchester City 6-0 back in October 1995, a record Premier League margin of victory in this particular fixture.

James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho have all scored twice for Liverpool in the last five head-to-heads between the two clubs. Sergio Aguero has picked up the same amount of goals for Manchester City.

The first match between these two clubs took place in 1893, when Manchester City were known as Ardwick.

The last time Liverpool won at the Etihad was just a few weeks in to Jurgen Klopp’s reign as Liverpool manager, on an evening when his new club ran out 4-1 winners over Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City.
