Burnley’s impressive start to the season is a distant memory now but the fact that they are still 7th in the table after not winning any of their last eight league outings is testament to just how well they started the campaign. This weekend they are the next in line to face this almost unstoppable Manchester City side, who made light work of West Brom in midweek and they are heavy favourites to do something similar on Saturday lunchtime.

Burnley’s only ever win over Manchester City in the Premier League came back in March 2015. Turf Moor was the setting as the Clarets fans witnessed a historic scalp. George Boyd’s solitary strike was enough to cause misery for Manuel Pellegrini’s men as Sean Dyche masterminded an unlikely victory.
