ISL meetings: Mumbai City FC W2, FC Pune City W4, D1

After their win over NorthEast United FC on Wednesday, FC Pune City have moved to second in the ISL standings and are currently five points behind league leaders Bengaluru FC. This weekend sees them take on Mumbai City FC away from home and with Alexandre Guimaraes’s side lying seventh in the table after losing three of their last four outings, the visitors will be confident of applying more pressure on the current table toppers by earning a win on Sunday.

The last time that these two clubs met was back in November 2017 with FC Pune City coming out on top thanks to an Emiliano Alfaro injury time winner. Mumbai City FC had taken the lead through Balwant Singh and with just 20 minutes of the game remaining they looked as if they would see out the game and earn all three points. However, two late goals both from Alfaro turned the game on its head and saw the home side earn the spoils by a scoreline of two goals to one.
