Coach: Mike Hesson

Captain: Ravi Ashwin

  • Kings XI Punjab picked up their second win in three matches on Saturday as they had far too much firepower for Mumbai Indians with the bat as they chased down the 176/7 with the loss of just two wickets and eight balls to spare.

  • Murugan Ashwin came into the side and he took 2/25 which was key in restricting the Indians to a modest total and that should be enough for him to keep his place as they welcome the Capitals on the batting-friendly pitch.

  • Their batting looked formidable in that match with their top three batsmen scoring 40 runs or more, and they will be confident against any team on this batting paradise that they can continue their good start to IPL 2019 and they are expected to name an unchanged team here.

Coach: Ricky Ponting

Captain: Shreyas Iyer

  • Delhi Capitals rescued a victory against Kolkata Knight Riders in a thrilling match in which they were coasting but they failed to get it over the line as they tied KKR’s 185 total but Kagiso Rabada produced a stunning Super Over to seal the win for them eventually.

  • Prithvi Shaw hit 99 in that match and their batting continues to look incredibly strong and they will have to be at their best to match a similarly fearsome Kings XI batting line-up and to halt a three-match losing run against them.

  • Axar Patel could potentially come into the side in place of Mishra for this one as their bowling line-up is arguably the only real unit of the team that they have not fully settled on so far in the tournament.

The pitch in Chandigarh is notoriously high-scoring and with two of the strongest batting line-ups in the tournament on show, that will surely continue here. The team batting first will know that they need to hit over 200 on this pitch given the firepower of either team. In terms of bowling, the Capitals arguably have the edge with Rabada and Lamichhane in their ranks, and barring any particular batsmen really producing fireworks, the Capitals edge in bowling may just see them win what will surely be another close fought match.
