The Lowdown

  • Huddersfield's season cannot end soon enough after they conceded 40 points for the second week on the trot, this time at the hands of St Helens.
  • The Giants will finish the season in eighth-place after three defeats in a row although they will hope to finish the season on a high at home where they have lost just once in their last seven league fixtures.

Analysis - what to expect
In the one game of the weekend that doesn't carry any real meaning, Huddersfield and Leeds will both be looking to end the league season on a high but for differing reasons. The Giants are playing for nothing but pride after having their eighth-place finish confirmed last week following their third defeat in a row. Leeds on the other hand are looking to build some momentum to take into their semi-final next week. Huddersfield have won four of the last five meeting between the two sides and may extend that run if Leeds have one eye on next week.
