FIFA 19 eSports - Players To Watch

With the business end of the FIFA 19 eSports season within reach. We’ve once again come up with a number of players for you to watch out for as we slowly approach the FIFA Global Series Playoffs. We’ve identified these players based on a number of different categories such as:

. The Numbers – A player who features higher on our own TSZ rankings leaderboard, compared to the Global Series Points leaderboard.

. The Eye Test – A player who has caught the eye in a tournament in terms of style of play, or has had a recent positive result over a top player.

. Recent Signing – A player who has recently been signed up to an eSports club/organisation, which could motivate and/or help them make the next leap in their tournament prospects.

Before April’s EA FUT Champions Cup, Maestro was ranked 11th in the TSZ PS4 rankings. But after reaching the Grand Final of that event, the Frenchman rose to 6th. This saw him as one of the highest ranking PS4 players to be competing in the FIFA eNations Cup this weekend just gone and suggested the potential for a strong showing at the event. The Team Vitality player did not disappoint. Teaming up with DaXe, together they produced a wonderful performance to win the inaugural competition under the French banner. It was Maestro’s first major success of the season and will see him rise from 6th to 3rd in the FIFA 19 Global Series Leaderboard. However, he still ranks one spot higher on our TSZ PS4 rankings as the numbers continue to be in his favour going forward.

The young Argentinian starlet caught our eye back in the second FUT Champions Cup event back in December. Playing an 4-3-2-1 formation, Yago has an impressive habit of altering his style of play to counter his opponent. He is equally skilled at either building possession in his own half with sideways passes in an attempt to draw the opponent out before moving into their half. Or hitting the opponent on the counter attack with quick first time passes to his forward players, making it difficult for the opposition to get into shape and tackle him. The Argentine is also lethal from long range, using the likes of CR7, Eusebio and Ronaldinho to great effect. Since then he has gone on to star in recent tournaments, most recently finishing runner up at the FIFA eNations Cup representing Argentina with teammate Nicolas99fc. With the Global Series Playoffs less than two months away. Yago will be one to watch going forward!

It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Mexican player Beto. After competing at the EA FUT Champions Cup April, he announced that he had fulfilled a childhood dream in signing for Mexican football giants Chivas. The move has obviously proven quite the tonic as Beto went on to help guide Mexico to a quarter final finish at the FIFA eNations Cup. Going forward, he will certainly be one to keep an eye on.
