The best FIFA 18 competitors that Scandinavia has to offer will be descending on Malmo with the intention of becoming the TropSe Masters champion. Not only is a cash prize along with Global Series Playoff qualification at stake, but also the pride of being able to call yourself the best Nordic player on the FIFA 18 eSports scene.

One of those Nordic players has made it to Malmo thanks to a perfect performance in the qualifiers. Brondby IF star Frederik Fredberg - the 2017 Danish champion - won all five of his two-legged group matches, scoring a mammoth 46 goals in the process. If he can replicate that form this weekend on the PS4, then the TropSe Masters could well be heading to Denmark.

Coming up against Fredburg on the PS4 side of the bracket will be one of the many stellar FIFA players currently representing Hashtag United. Ivan “BorasLegend” Lapanje - a recent Red Bull eSports recruit - topped his group with 12 points, scoring 37 goals and conceding 21. The experienced Swede boasts a vast array of experience competing in offline events and will be confident of achieving success on home turf.

On the Xbox One side of the bracket, only one player will enter the tournament having won all their group matches. Oliver “OliBoli7” Uttgren boasts one of the best defenses coming into the tournament having only conceded 13 goals in his qualification matches to go with his perfect 15-point haul. Like Fredberg, the challenge will be to replicate an impressive online record in an offline environment. Uttgren will fear nobody and with a record like that, who can blame him?
