  • Djokovic ruthlessly dispatched Kevin Anderson 6-2, 6-2 in Saturday's semi-final and goes into the final as a huge favourite to cap off his year in style.
  • The Serb is bidding for a record-equalling sixth title at the tournament and will be confident of his chances after having beaten Zverev as recently as Wednesday.
  • The world number one's serve has been particularly impressive this week and he even managed to hit more aces than Kevin Anderson in the semi-final.

  • Zverev won a tight match with Roger Federer on Saturday as he continues to make strides in the game although his semi-final was not without controversy following an incident in the second set tie-break where he stopped play after a ball-boy had dropped a ball onto the court.
  • The German was perfectly within his right to ask for a let but he was visibly shaken in the post-match interview when some portions of the crowd were booing the German.
  • Zverev was competitive in the first set of his round-robin defeat to Djokovic but he was completely dominated after that so he will need to put in a better performance here.

Djokovic will look to underline his status as the best player in the world and lifting the title here would be a perfect end to an extraordinary year in which the Serb has returned to the top of the game. His confidence is soaring and his recent win over Zverev in the round-robin will only serve to increase that.

Zverev's achievement in reaching the final at the age of 21 should not be overlooked and the youngster is clearly destined for great things in the sport, but the task facing him here is a formidable one and he had little answer to the Serb's game - particularly in the second set - when they met on Wednesday. A repeat result is highly likely here. Djokovic in straight sets.
