The Newcastle Jets are not flying as high as usual as of late having taken just a single point from the six that were on offer. This weekend they will look to return to winning ways when Kevin Muscat brings his Melbourne Victory side to town. Last time out they lost to table-toppers Sydney FC and although they may not live up to their name in this clash, they are good value for at least a draw from this encounter.

The last time that these two sides met in Newcastle was back in November 2017 and it was a resounding win for the home side. Although the Victory took an early lead, they would then go onto concede four unanswered goals as the Jets eased their way to maximum points.
