PREDICTION
Melbourne Victory have secured a top six spot and with that, entry into the play-offs. The challenge now for Kevin Muscat’s side is to make sure they stay in the top four and in turn earn themselves a home tie in the Elimination Finals phase.

To do so, they need to pick up a win and a draw from their last two outings and they will be confident of earning three of those four points this weekend when they play host to basement side Wellington Phoenix.

The Phoenix have picked up one point from the last 12 on offer and with this being nothing more than a dead rubber for the side from New Zealand’s capital, there is little to suggest that they will get anything from this encounter with a home win looking the most likely outcome.

MEMORABLE MEETING
Halloween 2016 saw the Wellington Phoenix perform something of a defensive horror show as they conceded no less than six goals when facing Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park. It was nothing short of embarrassing for the New Zealand-based outfit as the hosts ran riot.

Besart Berisha was the man who earned the plaudits and the match ball as he scored a hat-trick in a game that was incredibly one sided with the Victory living up to their name and easing to all three points.
