After seeing their unbeaten streak end at the hands of Newcastle Jets, it seems as if Sydney FC have hit something of a tailspin. That’s because they followed up that game with another A-League defeat, with the Brisbane Roar getting the better of Graham Arnold’s side last weekend.

Those two losses mean their lead at the top is cut to just five points and there is now a race on to make sure they don’t falter in the final furlong. The current table toppers travel to the Central Coast Stadium on Saturday in a bid to return to winning ways.

Paul Okon’s side know that it is win or bust if they are to have any hopes of reaching the top six and the play-off places. However, with just one win in six it looks as if their season will be coming to an end when the full-time whistle is blown.
