Head Coach: Adrian Lam

Squad: Bullock, Burgess, Byrne, Davies, Escaré, Flower, Hankinson, Hardaker, Gildart, Greenwood, Isa, Leuluai, Navarrete, O’Loughlin, Partington, Sarginson, Ja. Shorrocks, Smithies, Tautai, Williams

  • Wigan suffered another defeat as their poor start to the season continued with Wakefield having too much for them despite a late comeback with the under-strength Warriors struggling to handle the size of the Trinity pack.

  • The Warriors are desperate to get some injured players back in their ranks and have received a boost this week with the return of skipper Sean O’Loughlin, Ben Flower and Joe Greenwood but they haven't been helped by Sam Powell copping a two-match ban.

  • Liam Byrne, Liam Paisley and Joe Shorrocks all make way along with Powell whilst Chris Hankinson also comes into the 19-man squad and could make an appearance in the outside backs.

Head Coach: Justin Holbrook

Squad: Amor, Coote, Fages, Grace, Knowles, Lees, Lomax, Makinson, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Naiqama, Paulo, Percival, Peyroux, Richardson, Roby, Smith, Taia, Thompson, Walmsley

  • St. Helens were sensational last week as they hammered Warrington in their top-of-the-table contest to pull two points clear of the Wolves and they head into their derby with Wigan full of confidence after that display.

  • Theo Fages could return for this fixture having missed the last two games through injury but will have to pass a late fitness test having been named in the 19-man squad in place of Jack Ashworth.

  • If Fages play, Saints will have a fully-fit squad to choose from once again which will provide Justin Holbrook with a huge boost over the gruelling Easter period with him bound to rotate his side for Easter Monday.

Wigan have suffered another bad week with another loss to contend with as well as Shaun Edwards announcing that he will not be taking over as head coach next season. They now face local rivals St. Helens and, after Saints' performance last week, this looks like being another tough week for the Warriors. Saints were sensational when defeating Warrington last week and if they maintain that level here, they can earn another big win with Wigan not able to live with them.
