Head Coach: Justin Holbrook

Squad: Amor, Ashworth, Bentley, Coote, Fages, Grace, Knowles, Lees, Lomax, Makinson, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Naiqama, Percival, Peyroux, Roby, Smith, Swift, Thompson, Walmsley

Unavailable: Zeb Taia, Joseph Paulo

  • St. Helens highlighted their dominance at the top of the table as they saw off third-placed Hull FC with an impressive victory and will be looking to maintain their 100% record on home soil as they host local rivals Wigan.

  • Saints will hope to have hooker Aaron Smith back after he missed out last week following his heavy knock against Warrington and there could also be a surprise return for skipper James Roby.

  • Both have been named in the 19-man squad but must prove their fitness before taking to the field, while Joseph Paulo will not feature this week after he suffered a calf strain whilst Matty Costello also makes way.

Head Coach: Adrian Lam

Squad: Bullock, Burgess, Clubb, Farrell, Gildart, Greenwood, Hankinson, Hardaker, Isa, Leuluai, Marshall, Navarrete, Partington, Powell, Sammut, Sarginson, Ja. Shorrocks, Smithies, Williams

Unavailable: Gabe Hamlin, Dom Manfredi, Tom Davies, Ben Flower, Sean O’Loughlin, Joe Greenwood

  • Wigan made it five wins in a row as they demolished Hull KR to move up to fourth position in Super League as their revival picks up pace with them looking like they are peaking at exactly the right time.

  • The Warriors were hopeful of having Joe Greenwood back in their squad but he will be missing once again through the head knock suffered in the win over Salford whilst skipper Sean O’Loughlin is also still unavailable because of an Achilles injury.

  • Wigan head coach Adrian Lam signed a one-year contract extension this week as the Warriors ramp up their preparations for next season but with silverware still on their minds this season, he has made just one change to his 19-man squad with Morgan Escaré making way for Jake Shorrocks.

St. Helens look to be coasting to the League Leaders' Shield but old foes Wigan will be keen to show that they can mix it with the best this season as they travel to the face their local rivals. The Warriors have won five in a row but this is a different test altogether and Saints can maintain their unbeaten record on home soil this season. They have been unstoppable for the majority of this season and despite Wigan’s upturn in form, they could be brought back down to earth by Saints who will be an even bigger threat if skipper James Roby makes his return here.
