Head Coach: Justin Holbrook

Squad: Amor, Ashworth, Bentley, Coote, Costello, Fages, Knowles, Lomax, Makinson, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Naiqama, Paulo, Percival, Peyroux, Smith, Swift, Taia, Thompson, Walmsley

Unavailable: James Roby, Regan Grace, Matty Lees

  • St. Helens suffered just their second defeat of the season as they went down in golden point to bottom side London in a huge shock but their team will look very different this week as they look to bounce back.

  • Saints will recall their rested stars from last week's game against London with that decision backfiring on head coach Justin Holbrook with Jonny Lomax, Tommy Makinson, Zeb Taia and Alex Walmsley all back.

  • Aaron Smith also comes in to replace the injured James Roby who is set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery this week with Regan Grace, Danny Richardson, Matty Lees and Jack Welsby also dropping out.

Head Coach: Simon Woolford

Squad: Clough, English, Frawley, Gaskell, Hewitt, Ikahihifo, Lawrence, Leeming, Matagi, McIntosh, Mellor, Murphy, O’Brien, Russell, I. Senior, Ta’ai, Turner, Ja. Wardle, Jo. Wardle

Unavailable: Leroy Cudjoe, Adam Walne, Akuila Uate, Oliver Roberts, Jermaine McGillvary

  • Huddersfield suffered another tight defeat in what is becoming a theme of their season as they lost to Castleford in golden point which prevented the Giants from closing the gap on the top 5.

  • The Giants are able to recall Matt Frawley and Sebastine Ikahihifo this week and that leaves head coach Simon Woolford with some big selection decisions to make, especially in the halves with youngster Oliver Russell performing well in Frawley’s absence.

  • As has been common with Huddersfield so far this season, when they get players back they then inevitably lose somebody and that has happened again this week with England winger Jermaine McGillvary ruled out for a month.

St. Helens are likely to produce a response after their under-strength side lost London last week. They now return to home soil where they have yet to taste defeat this season as they host Huddersfield who were edged in golden point last week. The big guns will be back for Saints but they will be without influential captain James Roby who will be missing for at least a month after undergoing groin surgery. His loss will not be easy to overcome but Saints should still win comfortably this week.
