THE TEAM NEWS

LONDON BRONCOS

Head Coach: Danny Ward

Squad: Abdull, Adebiyi, Battye, Cunningham, Dixon, Fleming, Fozard, Gee, Ioane, Kear, Lovell, Mason, Morgan, Pelissier, Pitts, Richards, Walker, Williams, Yates

Unavailable:

  • London couldn't hold on to a half-time lead as they went down to a strong second half performance by Hull KR to remain winless away from home but now return home for the first time since Round 1.

  • London head coach Danny Ward has been able to pick from a fully-fit squad so far this season and should enjoy that luxury again having named the same 19-man squad that he has for every game.

  • The Broncos have had a couple of consistent performers so far this season with Alex Walker and Jay Pitts leading the way but the Londoners will require a full 80-minute performance from the 17 that take the field in order to clinch the points here.

CASTLEFORD TIGERS

Head Coach: Daryl Powell

Squad: Aston, Clare, Clarkson, Cook, Eden, Edogo, Massey, Mata’utia, McShane, Millington, Milner, Minikin, Moors, O’Neill, Rankin, Sene-Lefao, Shenton, Trueman, Watts

Unavailable: Luke Gale, Jamie Ellis, Oliver Holmes, Mike McMeeken, Mitch Clark, Ben Roberts, Alex Foster

  • Castleford earned a battling win against Hull FC in their last encounter and now travel to the capital looking to remain unbeaten

  • Castleford will be without prop Mitch Clark for a couple of months after he sustained a knee injury with his first carry against Hull FC whilst Ben Roberts and Alex Foster are also out with minor knocks.

  • New signing Chris Clarkson could come straight into the 17 after joining the Tigers on a one-year deal following a successful trial period at the club whilst Cory Aston and Matt Cook make up the 19-man squad.

THE PREDICTION

London may struggle on the road this season and that will mean they have to pick up points at home to stave off relegation. That task will be difficult with Castleford the visitors and their ball movement on a quick surface spells danger for the Broncos although the Tigers do have a long injury list. They have lost three players since their last game but are boosted by Chris Clarkson joining the club. Despite their injuries, Castleford will still be able to name a strong 17 and they will have too much for the home side.
