Head Coach: David Furner

Squad: T. Briscoe, Cuthbertson, Donaldson, Dwyer, Ferres, Handley, Hurrell, Lolohea, Merrin, Myler, Newman, Oledzki, Parcell, Peteru, Singleton, Smith, L. Sutcliffe, Walker, Watkins

  • Leeds couldn't hold on to the lead in a hard-fought game against St Helens as the Rhinos went down to a five-point defeat but they will be disappointed to have been kept scoreless in the second half.

  • Matt Parcell could return to the side this week after the Rhinos hooker underwent a minor medical procedure on his ear with his inclusion in the 19-man squad suggesting he will be fit enough to take his place.

  • James Donaldson is back in the squad after missing out with a head knock last week but Stevie Ward is set to undergo surgery on a knee injury he suffered in last week’s game and could be out for a while.

Head Coach: Chris Chester

Squad: Arona, Arundel, Ashurst, Batchelor, Brough, England, Fifita, Hampshire, Hirst, Horo, Johnstone, Jones-Bishop, King, Kopczak, Lyne, Miller, Pauli, Tupou, Wood

Unavailable: Tyler Randell, Craig Huby, Danny Kirmond

  • Wakefield earned their first win of the season as they proved too good for Catalans and will now look to climb up the table as they aim to spoil Leeds’ party as the first visitors to the new-look Headingley.

  • Despite missing four players from their pack through injury, Wakefield still looked strong up front with David Fifita their key man and he has this week put to bed rumours of him joining their opponents in this game.

  • He will get some much needed support in the pack this week with the return of man mountain Pauli Pauli having recovered from injury and will make his first appearance of the season with Jordan Crowther missing out on the 19-man squad.

Leeds will be hoping to put on a show in their first home game of the season as the club prepare to open their newly-developed stadium. They host a Wakefield team looking for back-to-back wins after they won their first game of the year last week and will certainly look to mix it up in the pack this week. Pauli Pauli returns for Trinity having suffered an injury in pre-season in what is a big boost for the away side but Leeds showed some good signs in last week’s loss to Saints and can just edge this one.
