Head Coach: David Furner

Squad: T. Briscoe, Donaldson, Dwyer, Handley, Holroyd, Hurrell, Jones-Buchanan, Lolohea, Merrin, Myler, Newman, Oledzki, Parcell, Peteru, Singleton, Smith, L. Sutcliffe, Walker, Watkins

  • Leeds couldn't hold on against Catalans in the south of France last week as the Rhinos went down to a seventh loss in eight games which sees them sit at the bottom of the Super League table.

  • Brett Ferres will be missing for Leeds' next two matches after the back-rower was suspended for use of the knees against Catalans with the RFL deeming his sin-binning on the day as an insufficient punishment.

  • Young outside back Harry Newman comes in to the 19-man squad in place of Ferres whilst James Donaldson and Tui Lolohea will be hoping to come back into contention having been left out last week.

Head Coach: Daryl Powell

Squad: Clare, Clarkson, Cook, Eden, Foster, Holmes, Maher, Massey, Mata’utia, McShane, Millington, Milner, Minikin, Moors, Rankin, Sene-Lefao, Shenton, Trueman, Watts

Unavailable: Luke Gale, Jamie Ellis, Mike McMeeken, Mitch Clark

  • Castleford were comprehensively beaten by league-leaders St. Helens last week with the Tigers conceding 42 points in the process as their unbeaten home record in 2019 came to an abrupt end.

  • Castleford head coach Daryl Powell was visibly annoyed at his side's performance last week but could be set to stick with the same 17 that took to the field last week as he seeks a much-improved performance.

  • The Tigers received some positive news this week with seven of their squad selected in the England Performance Squads as Adam Milner, Luke Gale, Jake Trueman and Liam Watts were selected in the Elite squad whilst Alex Foster, Oliver Holmes and Greg Minikin were named for the Knights.

Leeds' struggles continued as they failed to see off Catalans last week in a result that sees the Rhinos rooted to the bottom of the Super League table. They host a Castleford side out to redeem themselves after they were hammered by St Helens and can do just that against a fragile Leeds outfit. Last week will come as another hammer blow to the Rhinos having been so close to claiming the win and with Castleford head coach Daryl Powell seeking a response, he will ensure his side get it here.
