  • Huddersfield's poor start to the season continued as the Giants lost their third straight game after going down at home to Warrington and now come up against a Hull team who will be looking to claim back-to-back wins.

  • The Giants' injury problems looked like they were starting to clear after Jermaine McGillvary and Lee Gaskell both returned to the side last week but they’re now without Oliver Roberts, Akuila Uate and Joe Wardle.

  • Huddersfield head coach Simon Woolford has called up Oliver Russell into his 19-man squad for the first time in 2019 whilst Colton Roche and Jake Wardle also feature in the squad for the winless Giants.

  • Hull FC finally ended their long run without a win as they made history by beating Super League champions Wigan in Golden Point and will now look to go on a winning run to work their way up the table.

  • Hull are boosted by the return of halfback Albert Kelly who could come into the side for his first appearance since last season with fullback Jamie Shaul needing to overcome a head test after he suffered a concussion last week.

  • Hull may once again turn to Gareth Ellis after their ex-captain came out of retirement to put in a solid display against Wigan last week and he is expected to take to the field having been named in the 19-man squad.

Hull FC won for the first time in 14 matches in a thrilling contest against Wigan that was decided in Golden Point and will now look to put a winning run together. They travel to Huddersfield who are without a win so far this season and are missing one of their key off-season singings. Akuila Uate will not feature having suffered a knock last week with the Giants having to once again shuffle their side. Hull on the other hand are boosted by the returning Albert Kelly and buoyed by last week’s win, they can make it two wins on the trot.
