Head Coach: Daryl Powell

Squad: Clare, Clarkson, Cook, Eden, Edogo, Foster, Holmes, Massey, Mata’utia, McShane, Milner, Minikin, Moors, O’Neill, Rankin, Sene-Lefao, Shenton, Trueman, Watts

  • Castleford's unbeaten start to the season was brought to an end by Warrington with the Tigers not taking their chances early on and they were punished as the Wolves proved to be clinical.

  • The Tigers are desperate to get some bodies back with their injury list still causing them problems but Oliver Holmes is back in the 19-man squad this week and should make his first appearance of the season.

  • Daryl Powell may opt to shuffle his side around this having hooked winger James Clare at half-time last week with the Castleford head coach not happy at how his right edge were defending.

Head Coach: Ian Watson

Squad: Bibby, Chamberlain, Dudson, Evalds, Flanagan, Griffin, Hastings, Jones, Lussick, Lui, McCarthy, Murray, Nakubuwai, Olpherts, Sio, Tomkins, Turgut, Walker, Welham

Unavailable: Josh Wood, Junior Sa’u, Lee Mossop

  • Salford produced arguably the performance of the season in the South of France as they annihilated Catalans 0-46 to lay down a big marker for their intentions this season but will want to back that up with another good performance here.

  • Jake Bibby made his first appearance of the season for the Red Devils and after a sensational display he will keep his place this week with Ian Watson not having a decision to make with Junior Sa’u still out injured.

  • In the only change to last week’s 19-man squad, new signing Adam Walker could make his debut having been selected following the completion of a drugs ban with Greg Burke dropping out.

Castleford were only able to recall one player from their injury list this week with last week's game against Warrington one match too far for the Tigers as they went down to their first loss of the season. They struggled with Warrington's big pack and Salford could pose a similar threat this week. The Red Devils were magnificent last week as they carved out some eye-catching tries having dominated Catalans and this game will really show the Red Devils where they are. It should be an exciting contest with the teams appearing to be closely-matched but Salford can edge this.
