Last meeting: Nottinghamshire beat Worcestershire by 38 runs

Coach: Alex Gidman

Captain: Brett D’Oliveira

  • Worcestershire sit on six points from their opening five matches and they still have some work to do if they are to push on and challenge for a top three place so they will be motivated to hand North Group leaders Notts their first defeat of the competition.

  • They lost last time out to Warwickshire as they fell 34 runs short in chasing Warks’ 315/5 so they will be looking to produce a much-improved bowling display against the in-form batting line-up in the tournament.

  • Hamish Rutherford’s time with the club has come to an end but they welcome back star man Callum Ferguson and the Aussie will be looking to make an immediate impact with the club and score heavily.

Coach: Peter Moores

Captain: Steven Mullaney

  • Nottinghamshire come into this clash with Worcestershire as the only team in the Royal London One-Day Cup with a 100% winning record so they will be keen to seal a top three spot as quickly as possible.

  • With their cushion at the top of the North Group, coach Peter Moores has decided to rest star paceman James Pattinson for this match so that reduces their wicket-taking ability to a degree here.

  • Alex Hales remains unavailable for personal reasons while Ben Duckett has been called into the England camp thanks to his early season form so he too misses out and that will impact their superb batting order which has been firing on all cylinders in the tournament so far.

Notts have looked head and shoulders better than any other team in the North Group so far, but their best performances have come at home at Trent Bridge where they have been on fire with the bat. They are weakened here due to the absence of Pattinson and Duckett, and the fact they are resting Pattinson suggests they know they can relax a little given their points in the bag. Worcestershire need a win here and they will raise their game against the Outlaws. With the batting firepower at their disposal along with home advantage, the Rapids have the potential to inflict Notts’ first defeat of the tournament here.
